I met someone online not to long ago who writes an inspirational blog. She just writes uplifting things. All I was thinkin' bout for this thread is.... whenever you feel inspired and write something, post up here what it was that inspired you. That way, for people with writer's block (such as myself), there is always a fresh wave of inspirational things popping up. Or.... just be lame-os and ignore this thread

Music is often inspirational. These have been some of my favorite songs lately... Read the lyrics, listen to the songs... maybe it'll strike a chord for you. "Someone Like You"Adele"For the First Time"The Script"It Is What It Is"Lifehouse

I love "It Is What It Is" #2 on my iPod <3 I love taking inspiration from nature. Closing my eyes and listening to rain or wind. Staring up at an array of stars. Even a simple leaf fascinates me My two cents for now

I've drawn inspiration for, at the very least, fanfiction, from funny moments on random TV shows. One of my fanfictions (though, it's mostly my friend's) was inspired by seeing a goat on an episode of Big Time Rush.

My inspiration comes from whatever I sense at the moment. If I smell a cake, I think of everything that I relate to cake, and I can come up with something. I see a picture of my friends, I think of a true story that I could turn around, and maybe imagine a different ending for. Whatever is around me, I think long and hard about what I can relate it to, and eventually, something comes up.

I, being quite artistically inclined, find art to be most inspirational in all aspects of my life. Here's some videos of amazing art: [Glass Blowing][Spray Paint][Ink Drop Art] (this one is in an advertisement for a charity) ["Paint Sound Sculptures"]["Tall Painting"]I'm also terribly inspired by nature. Three of the most inspirational places I've been: Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont (In the mountains of Tennessee) Georgia Aquarium (Particularly the tank with the Whale Sharks) The Florida Keys (Pigeon Key, mainly. Stayed there about a week with NBMSS. Stunning place.) May add some pictures from those trips later, though they really don't compare to the real thing. It's quite awe-inspiring, in each of these places. EDIT: Also, hearing people speak passionately about something they love. It inspires me to go do the things that I love, to create.

I like the spray painting the most The tall painting made me think of ribbons: twirling, bouncy, vibrant ribbons. ;D

I got inspired to write a poem upon the completion of my AP Literature assignment.

I usually get inspired by conversations I have with others. Being a naturally silent person, most people have a hard time talking to me, so the conversations that result from effort are either really shallow or really deep. Notes from people who are bored in class are inspiring also. My internal conversations with myself have been the most helpful with ideas. It's nice to step back and think about life for a while.
Above all, my newsletter provides motivation for new poems. If I didn't have that running, I probably wouldn't write poems and stories at all. It helps me force myself to pull out of my busy life for a few minutes and ponder the conversations I had.
