I love the series! It was amazing. I didn't like the whole, they're not related, now they are, whoops! Sorry. We were wrong the whole time! Valentine wasn't Jace's biological father after all! That means him and Clary could be together! That was the worst part I think. However, I think that she should have ended with the thrid book because there was a very slim opening in which she could have continued and now she's made a fourth and is supposedly working on a 5th and 6th. I think she should just end it because now it's like she's trying to mimick JK almost. JK had small openings, but took it so far and did a great job at it whereas Clare should just end it with a 5th book. She should continue with the Clockwork Angel series, because while it is related, it's not the same story line, so it works. This continues with the same people. But, this is all just my personal opinion and you are allowed to reject it.

I'm with Xandria on the whole "they related, now they're not! let's get together" thing. It was confusing. Although, I'm a bit glad she's going on with it, but she is ending it at 6 books. And i love The Infernal Devices, I like them a bit more than TMI because they're less confusing and there's more resistance between Tessa and Will. Though, I wish one author in this world would leave out a love triangle. xD Whenever there's a love triangle, it makes me think of Twilight's LT, white just annoyed me. LMAO Thoguh, TID has a bit less of a love triangle, at the moment. Also, TID is a bit more [good type of] dramatic. And Erin, xD. I'm glad you like them! Amazing, aren't they?

XD Honestly, one of the reasons that I like it is that Cassandra Clare talks about real world problems that aren't really used that often in books. It's not that often that I get to read books that have incest (real or not), gay couples, stuff like that... Although, I agree, I want at least ONE good book that DOESN'T have a love-triangle! *shrug* Still, I like the various plot-twists. It really keeps me on my toes.

I used to love The Mortal Instruments series, but as I grew out of my fantasy phase I realized just how cliche it is. Daddy problems, love triangle, forbidden love, toss in a vampire for good measure, not to mention the "I lied to protect you" mother, the death of a minor character, and the defeat of the dark side, having special powers and being cooler than everyone else... the list goes on and on. If you want "real world problems," as xsfantic said... I honestly don't think Cassie Clare is the person to read. Try Sarah Dessen.

Well, by real world problems, I meant the father problems, and the incest (again, real or not), coming out about being gay, young deaths, the loss of loved ones... Stuff like that.
